This is a mercerized cotton fabric from Japan.
Mercerization is a special treatment for cotton that imparts a subtle sheen, and a luxurious appearance.
Compared to normal cotton, the enhanced fiber strength makes it resistant to tearing or wearing out, allowing for the creation of long-lasting products.
